With this remote, and previous versions batteries make a huge difference. The other thing is the way you start your activities. You have to have the remote pointed straight at your devices before you even press the Watch TV button, and then keep the remote pointed for around 5 seconds. This was often a source of frustration until I taught everyone to do that. If you want a better remote, without having to do that process you should check out the Harmony Smart Control. It comes with a little hockey puck thing that you leave close to your devices. And a little IR Blaster on a cable for devices that it doesn't reach.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had two of these over many years. First a 659 then the 650 the older one had less features. The new one works fantastic and they both used the same software. Over the years I only had one problem and it was Samsungs DLP TV at fault one function looped and the more or less items plugged into the TV changed how many times you needed to press the button to get correct input. There was no easy fix just a lot of manual programming and I must say the remote worked great. If you have trouble get a teenager to set it up there is no better remote made !
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The remote itself is likely no different but, the software has definitely been updated and improved. I had an earlier version (likely 5 or so years ago as well) and, programming / using it was a pain. They've come a long way since then. Much more user friendly programming them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely return it. I have two of these and they work flawlessly. For the price I can't imagine why anyone would pay more to do the same things. Could possibly be the setup if you didn't fully complete each method. The website to setup can be a bit slow to load but once it loads it works pretty quickly through the steps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have installed quite a few 650's over the past few years and have had no issues. I would give it 4.5 stars. Not having the (discontinued) 700's recharging ability is the only reason for removing 1/2 a star. The 650 is by far the best bang for the buck. As a side note: I think I remember have to reprogram a few 750's every once in a while, but that has been about 6-8 years ago.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Mine is a pain also. It causes all the problems I have viewing my TV. Don't dare drop it either or start from the beginning
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it has worked for 5 years then you got good use out of it. Things get old and break. Buy another one.
