how does this remote activate DVR? null

Our remote is configured to turn on the TV (center button of the three on top) and also our Spectrum DVR at the same time. It also turns on our audio amp and sound system. The Geek Squad did this, no way I could have figured it out

Hello bigbob. The Harmony Companion remote has a dedicated DVR button as well as Play, Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward, and Record buttons. Once paired with your DVR, pressing the buttons will act as they do on the factory remote.
