If you can connect your PC to your HDTV, it may be possible. Another option would be to install the Smartphone app, and use it as your remote. The Smartphone app has much more features and functions than the Smart remote only, and may give you more control over your PC than the Smart remote can.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some pcs, yes you can
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The signal that the Harmony hub transmit to control devices is RF signals and z-wave for home automation. If u can control your PC desktop via RF which I have not seen yet then the Harmony can control your desktop. But RF signals can't penetrate walls so you will need to use the extender. It is another RF transmiiter connected to the hub with a 6' cable. You would need a long extension cable and it is not a standard 3.5mm cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think so. This device is IR which is line of sight and I would believe that you would require RF which allows control through walls and cabinets. I would also look at the list of devices which can be controlled by the Logitech to see if it even controls a PC and what kind of software would be required on the PC for controlling that activity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I have Plex running on my Mac Mini and this remote has a mouse (touch screen) built right in. Keyboard too. They both work well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Possibly. The remote communicates with the hub via wifi. If your PC can currently be controlled by another remote, then yes, the Harmony should be able to control it too, that is, as long as the other remote sends an IR (infrared) signal and not RF (radio frequency). The Harmony can learn any IR command from another remote and the software walks you through the process. Caution though. I've had this remote for quite some time now and at first, everything work nicely. Then I started experiencing issues with the hub. Now it doesn't work at all and the remote is totally useless without it. I'm not buying another one. Logitech does make good remotes, but it's the hub that is junk. -- Micheal
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The distance is the the problem. 30 feet...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would depend on how the computer is being controlled. If you have an infrared receiver then no, you would need line of site. But if you have bluetooth built into you computer then I believe yes, it will pair with bluetooth 3.0 devices and uses simple keyboard controls to control your computer, a bit of setup will probably be needed as my set up did using an IR receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not a replacement mouse/keyboard so using the Logitech App would not directly allow you to control the computer itself.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The remote uses a base that sends out IR and Bluetooth signals to control the devices in your home entertainment center, so since you don't have line of sight to your computer i do not think it would work. The bluetooth signal might be an option. Also, the package includes a mini IR blaster that is supposed to be used for devices out of range of the main blaster. The cord on the mini blaster is maybe 12 feet long, so depending on how your house is set up you might be able to use the main base to control the TV and then position the mini blaster to control your computer. If your computer accepts IR signals that is.
