“I can turn on my Fire TV with a voice command to Alexa. However I want to know if with this device and Harmony app, I am able to program TV to turn on by itself at a preset time, say 6 am tomorrow morning? Alexa will only do "right now" not tomorrow.”

Yes you can. The pairing is a bit different from other devices. You need to go to the controllers and game devices or something in your fire tv. Then add it from the Alexa app
