Not as purchased. It's power supply comes from a 110V AC typical "wall wart" transformer that drops it down to a DC signal. That said you certainly can find a car adapter to purchase that would power it if you dig around a bit. And yes, if you had a device with bluetooth audio paired to this device, you could feed the output of the device from its 3.5mm jack into the external/AUX input that many car radios have. Although almost any device that would be playing music would also have that same output jack and you could handle it that way. I could see someone doing what you describe so that maybe someone in the back seat streaming Pandora could sync to the car system to play music without needing a long 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord.
