Can you swap out the strap for another (perhaps straight end metal?) It appears that the strap is attached with a hex head screw - is it possible to remove the silicon strap and swap it for an appropriately sized metal bracelet (assuming the spring bar holes are wide enough) or perhaps a nice leather?

I actually researched this option. I saw someone making straps for this on Etsy I believe. There might have even been an option on Ebay as well. The one I saw was in leather. There are not a lot of options, and what I saw I thought was not very attractive.

I don't believe this would be compatible with another strap as it is made to be unique and it would be hard to get the hex head screws to work with a normal strap.

I was thinking the same thing but the band is attached by a screw running straight to the other side. The hex head screw you see on the side runs through the entire length of the band to the other hex head screw (there is a hollow round hole for the screw to go to the other side). I could not find a band that would attach this way (the screw is kind of large that runs through the case). The band appears to be especially made to fit the case using the long hex head screw.

I know the company sells a more expensive similar product with different bands. They offer a leather band.

I'm not sure. The band seems to be only changeable with one from the same maker. They have other versions of the protector with different bands.

no screws on this X-Doria... use whatever apple band you have when ever you want as fast as you can put them on.. Edge Cover should not even get in the way of band changes.. Never has done to me..

The only protector That I know that has screws is the LUNATIK - EPIK Polycarbonate Case and Silicone and it takes about 5 minutes to protect you're apple watch... The LUNATIK is a band/case protection combo.

This X-Doria case pops on and/or off... easy.. Bands come off with a push of the release button on the bottom of watch.....
