“Can this be used in places not on a switch such as mounted with Velcro to a nightstand? I want to control the hue bulb in my nightstand lamp without having to open the app. Would this work? Could it be implanted nicely?”

• Yes . It can. Now as far as mounting the device the switch is needed to secure the device to the wall.

• They do have another SKU of this that includes a mounting plate that can be attached anywhere. (or in place of a paddle switch)

• Yeah it’s just a wireless switch with a watch battery in it. I think this switch is worth it. But maybe you should look into the hue dimmer switch which is cheaper and can do more things .

• Yes, it can be placed anywhere, but the switch that powers the smart bulb has to remain on.
