QuestionI have Logic Pro on my i-Mac. Would I be able to "share" that ap with the laptop, or would I have to buy a new ap for the laptop. Also, 1) would Logic work well on the laptop, & could I be sure I can share/work on the same Logic files on both systems?

- Answer Logic is a universal app so it should work on any platform that has the app. Mac to mac is definitely yes. Stability should be ok but my concern would be lack of fan.

- Answer Not sure if this will help. During July/August this laptop goes on 'sale' each year for about 800$ vs the 1000$. Student Discount? Not sure. Try it and find out for us, will ya :)? However, Apple Music will give you a discount on their services if you sign in/apply your school email.

- Answer More than capable. I have personally used Postman and some Bash app that a former coworker recommended (can't think of the name of it off the top of my head though). The only time you'd really run into issues is the storage as most coding software doesn't really use much GPU or RAM. If you're referring to virtual machines, then yes: this also is more than capable of using those as well. I had several environments running at once at one point in time.

QuestionHas anyone had any issues with the laptop cracking? I always keep my laptop closed but when I opened it it was cracked! I'm devastated because I have only had it 5 months!

- Answer I had the same issue about 6 months after buying the same laptop. I took it to the Mac store and was told I must have closed it with something inside. They said even a single sheet of paper can make it crack

- Answer Disclaimer: I am not, and never have been, a Best Buy employee. That being said, you shouldn't have to pay anything to transfer your data from one MacBook to another. Or even from a Mac desktop device to a MacBook. You just need to use an external storage device like a thumb drive or external SSD/NvME to back-up the old device via Time Capsule (its just in the system settings, you can use spotlight to search for it easily) and then once it is done backing-up, you can set up the new device from Time Capsule on the external device and presto chango: its all on your new Mac.

- Answer You can transfer files between your iPad and MBA easily using AirDrop, a Mac only feature. It is a simple drag and drop. Also, you Mac and iPad (and iPhone if you have one) work like this easily.
