That could be a negotiation issue with the TV's EDID. Try unplugging the HDMI output cable from the back of the AVR. (cable connecting AVR and TV) Leave the cable disconnected for this test and see if the turntable (CD source) audio cuts out at any point. If the audio cuts out or doesn't output with the TV connected, then the problem is EDID based. You can also try disabling the TV's CEC and Power Saving features to see if that changes the negotiation.
