“The washer lid is stuck locked, I have unplugged it for hours and replugged it in and nothing. The lid will not open, please advise.”

It was broke. Not even a year and a half old...had to take the whole top apart and buy a new piece $100 later and it is finally working again..such a waste of time..piece of crap...will never buy Maytag or any machine associated with it again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We had the same issue... we read the large manual. It is a safety feature in new models. The easy way is to let it run (any) cycle to 'complete' and then redo your cycle to fit your needs. We LOVE our machine!
