• Yes, always use HE ((high efficiency) detergent in a front load washer. Most front load washers recommend HE detergent and I've been using front load washers for nearly 15 years. I've used HE detergent in both of our front load washers as directed. If you use non-HE detergent you will end up with too much suds and it will take the washer MUCH longer to clear the suds and clean your clothes. Hope this helps! Good luck!
