What does "beep beep beep" mean when trying to re-start a cycle? I have had this washing machine THREE DAYS and paused a normal cycle to add a pair of socks and when I hit "start" again it just beeps three times. There is nothing in the manual for that. null

I have a top load maytag washer it will turn on but it just peeps. It's just a little over a year old. They came out and replace panel board on it. But it's still doing it.

@anonymous - it never resolved itself. We ended up having it replaced (ALREADY) and it hasn't done it since we got a new one. It was a bad display/lid lock. Not cool.

Mine does that as well sometimes, I think you just have to re-press the button, I do that and it restarts just fine, hope that helps.

Please check to ensure the door is shut all the way.  The beeping indicates the door is not fully shut.
