Do I need a pedestal with this model? null

No you don't, but I believe it is optional.

No pedestal is needed for this unit as It sits firmly on the floor. The pedestal only increases the height of the unit and doesn’t provide any other benefit.

No you do not need a pedestal for the dryer to operate. The pedestal adds height to the lid bringing it up some, I believe it is right around a foot. Saying that without the stand the opening is from approx 14.5 inches from the ground to 29.5 inches. If your ok with the height and not having the extra storage maybe a pedestal is not in your future.
