A:Answer What I do is press the OK button, choose a channel, then press the EPG button on the channel I wanna record from and choose one of the upcoming shows. I have noticed that on some channels it either shows very few choices or none at all. I can't help you there.
As for format, I don't think you have much choice I believe it records what it sees, as in the data flow that's coming through. For instance, on Me TV, the files are significantly smaller because what I'm recording is not high definition and therefore the machine doesn't record the high definition.
