It has a built-in speaker. No headphones/earbuds are used. (You can 'turn on' the set when it is not on your head. Once you put it on, the sound is there! No headphones, etc are needed.)

They work better than you'd think, but if you're looking for more immersion, there's an AUX port next to the USB C port. Logitech makes earbuds for the Quest 2, and most headsets will work, depending on if you're using the stock, pro, or a 3rd party headstrap. I have read that Bluetooth earbuds lag a little, but Bluetooth always lags slightly.
