Hi, NETTE, and thank you for asking the question! We don't have specific reasons listed for any laptop being refurbished, but the vast majority of the time with laptops like this, it was originally leased to an organization to use, and at the end of the lease, it was returned, and the refurbisher went through and checked everything to make sure that it still functioned like a new laptop.
