“Does the 2000 Monte Carlo aftermarket radio wiring harness allow for the door chime and any other functions to continue to work? I had a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo that I installed an aftermarket radio in. I didn't have the adaptor harness so I just cut and spliced all the wiring after I researched the wire schematic. It worked fine except the door chime and the horn acknowledge when you remote lock the car stopped working. No big deal. Well fast forward.... That car was totaled and now I have a 2000 SS Monte Carlo and this time I want to do it the right way. I bought a wiring harness adaptor from pep boys. It has all the wiring needed for the radio, but nothing for the extra wiring for the other accessories ( door chime, etc...) to function. Is there a separate kit for that. I see that some of these kids cost over $100 and have many parts I either have already or don't need. I already have the dash adaptor. I don't want to purchase unnecessary parts or parts I already have. What do I need or where can I find the right parts? Thanks Pete”
