Office 365, depending on the version, can be downloaded to a hard drive on a Windows / Mac PC so that you can use Office when not connected to the internet. By design though, 365 is primarily meant to run "in the cloud". The software can not be installed on a Chromebook but only on a Windows or Mac computer. You can however sign into your Microsoft Account using the web browser on your chromebook and use the 365 online version.

If you go to the Microsoft app store ( https://apps.microsoft.com/ ) and search for "Mozilla Thunderbird Email" you can download this program for free. This the same organization the does the Firefox web browser.
