A:AnswerI went to the Microsoft site and it looks to me like you should either get an Office 365 subscription (personal or the one for multiple users) each of which can be installed on multiple devices and they come with more features.
I don't think they have a single pay "lifetime" multiple-device plan anymore. I bought the 1-device version of Home & Student for each of my laptops (one is a dedicated taxes-only laptop).
A:AnswerNo. the only suggestions that I received were to subscribe to Office 360, which I do not want. My MacBook Pro (which I also purchased at Best Buy the same day) works splendidly, and I am very satisfied with it.
The Microsoft Office Home and Student 2021 for Mac program does not properly function to convert Pages documents into Word format and run spelling and grammar checks, but instead mis-identifies the word being checked as some other foreign language, and neither the Geek Squad nor Microsoft tech support could resolve the issue. I unloaded the program, as directed by Microsoft, and am now out for $149.00.
I have been a Best Buy customer ever since moving to Florida, but my experience with this specific program is unsatisfactory, and I cannot recommend this product if you have a MacBook Pro and need to convert documents written on Pages to Word.
A:AnswerNo you don't need a CD drive. You can download it from Microsoft. You will need a Microsoft account though. It's easy to apply and obtain from Microsoft.
A:AnswerI have a 2012 mac-mini running Catalina (OS 10.15), High Sierra is older than that (OS 10.13). In Dec. 2022 I finally upgraded to a 2021 macbook pro because.
1) Turbo Tax will no longer support those older MacOS's
2) Microsoft Office 2019 version 16.66 will no longer update ( to Office 16.68 as of Nov. 2022), as the "update" says.... "MacOS 11.0 or later Required".
Thus, based on the 2019 Office update error message, I must assume Office 2021 will not run on your older macOS.
A:AnswerI don't know for sure, as I have a Mac. But it says it is Windows-compatible, so if your laptop has Windows, I suppose it should work. If unsure, ask a store employee
