The operating system is Windows 10S, which does not allow any programs/games to be installed outside of what's available in the Windows Store, however, you can upgrade it to the standard Windows 10 and that will allow you to install other programs/games normally. So, yes, you can play games, but keep in mind this is a base model and won't have fantastic gaming performance. It's all depending the games are and what hardware requirements they need.
