Yes, that's exactly what I use it for. I love the functional abilities. U can highlight and write notes among other things. It's also great because there a some apps that Allow you to do more with PDF files.

Surface RT supports apps downloaded through the Windows App Store. If there is an app available for this program, then yes, it will work with Surface RT. You can view all apps currently available in the Windows Store on any device running Windows RT. Consider the amount of storage you have at your disposal:
