“Can the keyboard be used with bluetooth connectivity when not attached to the tablet? I'd like to be able to use the keyboard with the tablet on a laptop stand but the keyboard under the laptop stand on my desk.”

Thanks for the question. To use Surface Book 3’s keyboard it needs to be attached to the Surface Connect ports.
