Is it a firmware flash required in the future? null

Since we at Surface are always finding innovative ways to update your favorite Surface devices, it's likely that some occasional firmware updates will be required for Surface Dock.

I had to do a full firmware update in order to work properly.. and after that even though both ojitos were working, when the laptop wakes after the lid being closed, it worked awful. I think it will require further updates.

Microsoft has the Microsoft Surface Dock Updater that allows you to check and update the firmware... Which I would suggest doing anyway when new firmware is released.
