• No drives of any kind on this device. You can purchase an external disk drive, thumb drive, or SD card reader and plug them to this dock. Then plug the dock to the Surface device in order to use one or all of the aforementioned drives at once. Think of it as a switch or splitter of sorts.

• No, there is no disk drive on the Surface Dock. It does have multiple USB ports though.
