To echo what the community has said, yes, you should be able to run Windows programs like normal as long as you have enough processing power, RAM and storage capacity for the software. Be sure to compare these specs, and depending on the program, you may find that you need to switch out of Windows S mode to accomplish this and into Windows Home Edition.
