That is correct. It protects the sides and at best the edge of the glass, but not the top. For that, you would have to get the screen protector.

It’s a rubber bumper . But it’s not a clip on like many of the hard plastic ones. This one is actually good :)

Yes, case only protects sides. For the screen I recommend screen protectors made of TPU, you can buy them on EBay.
