The best place to place this antenna is as high in the room as possible. Outside walls or windows, away from metal will improve reception. Mine is hung behind the TV just low enough so it doesn't show and works fine. I dropped cable and connected this antenna to my Smart TV and get more programming than expected. Local channels like ABC, NBC, Fox, PBS come in great along with 100 more.

The placement options can be very flexible depending on where you can receive the best signals inside your home. We recommend you try several different placement options before deciding on one, just be sure you perform a channel scan after each time the antenna is moved.
