  • QuestionWhat is available for HD 200 mi range antenna on black friday

    Asked by Antenna.

    • Answer Greeting! The curvature of the Earth will block most over-the-air broadcast signals at roughly 70 miles. According to the current laws of physics, it is generally impossible to deliver the 100 and 200-mile ranges with a TV antenna. While you may receive signals from farther away in absolutely ideal conditions (a home atop a hill whose broadcast towers are directly on top of another hill with a clear shot between the two and absolutely no obstacles) or you’re inclined to engineer a unique (and probably dangerously tall) setup, then consistent, reliable reception of anything over 70 miles away should not be expected. Please be aware of this issue as many companies will make these false claims just to make a sale. If you would like to know the best antenna for your area, please give us a call at 877-825-5572 and one of our experts can perform a detailed analysis of your location to determine which antenna will work best for you. We are here Monday-Friday to help. Thank you for your question!

  • QuestionDoes this work with a Vizio flat screen TV? I live in Muskego Wisconsin looking to find an antenna for this TV where I will get local channels.

    Asked by Gail.

    • Answer Hi Gail! You should have no issues using our antennas with your Vizio flat screen TV. However, you want to make sure your TV has a built-in digital tuner, most newer TVs made after 2009 do. A digital tuner allows a TV to receive digital television (DTV) signals broadcast over-the-air by local TV stations. Check the owner's manual that came with your TV or on manufacturers website. You can also Look on the front and back of the TV for a marking that indicates a digital tuner. It might say ATSC, DTV, HDTV, Digital Ready, HD Ready, Digital Tuner, Digital Receiver, Digital Tuner Built-in or Integrated Digital Tuner. If not, you will need to buy a separate Digital TV Converter Box. Most of your local retailers will sell them. If you have any farther questions or would like us to walk you through the installation process, please give us a call at 877-825-5572. We can also perform a very thorough analysis of your location to help determine which antenna will work best for in your area. We are available Monday-Saturday to help! Thank you for your question.

  • QuestionWill this antenna receive LOW BAND VHF? Channel 6ABC in Philadelphia transmits LOW BAND VHF only. If not, why isn't the antenna designed to receive LOW BAND as well as HIGH BAND VHF?

    Asked by Tom.

    • Answer Hi Tom! A Low-VHF antenna would require a very large antenna element or will need to be in very close proximity of the towers. Unfortunately, you will not be able find this with an indoor antenna. If you would like us to help find an antenna that works for you and your area please give us a call, Monday-Friday, at 877-825-5572. Thank you for your question.

  • QuestionDoes this work in a basement?

    Asked by cgill.

    • Answer Using a Mohu TV antenna in a basement can be challenging due to potential signal obstruction from the surrounding concrete and earth. However, there are some considerations and tips that can help improve your chances of getting a good signal. 1) Proximity to a window: Placing the antenna near a window can significantly improve reception. Windows allow signals to pass through more easily than walls. 2) Elevation: Try to place the antenna as high as possible within the basement - up on a wall as high as possible. Even a few extra feet can make a difference. 3) Antenna Type: using a more powerful or amplified antenna such as the Mohu Leaf Amplified offers can help in difficult locations such as a basement. 4) Experiment with Placement: Move the antenna around the basement to different locations and orientations. Sometimes, even a small change in position can result in a better signal. Remember to rescan your TV at every location you place the antenna to see how many channels you are receiving. If you do not receive very many channels, move the antenna and rescan the TV for channels again. Overall, while the Mohu Leaf Amplified TV antenna can work in a basement, getting a reliable signal may require some adjustments and experimentation with placement. If you need assistance with any of these suggestions above, don't hesitate to give us a call at 877-825-5572 CST 9am to 7pm M-F.

  • QuestionI have an aluratec digital tv converter with lots of interference at certain times will this improve stable signal?

    Asked by mobius.

    • Answer If you are getting some type of outside interference that is at certain times of day... it's likely Radio Frequency Interference from an electronic device that is either faulty or improperly shielded that is on a timer or powers on by another type of automation. Swapping antennas won't likely fix this. Contact our support team directly for more help. 877-825-5572.
