Sorry, this question is too old now but if your had constant Best Buy total protection and this happened within two years you could just take the product back to a Best Buy store and get a replacement. Not sure if obvious handling problem was the cause of breakage if it would be covered so those are things only the in-store inspecion would decide. Likely if product weakness than covered. If dropped or accidently damaged it directly then likely not covered.
