No, this unit does not create a WiFi network. This product is only a cable modem.

Please try again later.If your apt. does not offer connections for internet services (look for a coaxial cable jack on a wall or two), what you need is a mobile hotspot device that uses your cellphone as the bridge to a cellular network for your internet access. Your cellular service provider can give you details on how this works, what equipment you need & what, if any, charges you may have to pay. Note that you will need a data plan that will meet your needs. Again, your cellular provider will have this information.

You can rent one from them for a separate monthly fee, or buy something like this. This also does not provide WiFi, you would either need a separate wireless router for that or a combination cable modem/wireless router. Again the cable company will rent one to you but for two separate fees now if you also want WiFi.
