Short answer:. No This is strictly a cable modem. I paired it with a TP-Link Deco M5 mesh wifi router to completely cover my house in wifi coverage. Your xfinity cable modem is very likely a combined cable modem and wifi router. What you need is a wifi extender (s) to improve your wifi coverage. You can also call xfinity and ask about extenders as I believe they supply them as well. Good luck.
