A:AnswerI have been using Airvoice for very low cost ATT service since I use very little phone service. I think H2O is also considered very economical and dependable. There are many companies selling ATT service. The phone has a micro size slot and comes with an adapter for a nano card to fit in the micro slot. I suggest buying service on the internet for convenience and low cost.
A:AnswerThe Verizon store told me the same thing. Also I needed to switch the sim card from a nano to micro, they said they had no idea about sim adapters and couldn't provide me with a sim that would fit. Went to a local phone store, purchased a sim adapter, popped it in and worked right off the bat. Verizon doesn't really want to see you if you bring in an unlocked phone.
A:AnswerI'll answer my own question. I took a chance and purchased the phone last week, not knowing what kind of signal strength to expect. I went with TRACFONE and opted for ATT's GSM network. So far I am very pleased. Signal strength in my man cave location runs about -92 to -97 dbm (about 3 bars on this phone), which is adequate for both incoming and outgoing communication. Signal strength above ground level at home runs about -75 to -80 dbm (about 5 bars). Outdoors, driving through hollows and depressions, signal strength runs about -80 to -95 dbm (about 3 to 4 bars). I haven't experienced any dropped or missed calls from any location. This is better performance than I can remember from any of my previous phones. My son attempted to use his more expensive phone, I believe it is a Samsung S5 or S6, from my man cave last week and wasn't able to get a signal. I used my Moto G4 with no problem. By the way, Best Buy gave me a 10% discount for using my Best Buy card; ended up paying about $189, including sales tax, for this phone. Great deal, great phone!
A:Answerstore would not allow to break open a box just to handle it over to you... IT IS in a seal container and once open it give the appearance of an used phone. Not fair for new buyer. CHECK to see if the have an used one, or a demo,, only way out.
A:AnswerNo. When you buy an unlocked phone, you don't have to activate it first. You can remove whichever pre loaded apps there are before you activate it.
