I'll answer my own question. I took a chance and purchased the phone last week, not knowing what kind of signal strength to expect. I went with TRACFONE and opted for ATT's GSM network. So far I am very pleased. Signal strength in my man cave location runs about -92 to -97 dbm (about 3 bars on this phone), which is adequate for both incoming and outgoing communication. Signal strength above ground level at home runs about -75 to -80 dbm (about 5 bars). Outdoors, driving through hollows and depressions, signal strength runs about -80 to -95 dbm (about 3 to 4 bars). I haven't experienced any dropped or missed calls from any location. This is better performance than I can remember from any of my previous phones. My son attempted to use his more expensive phone, I believe it is a Samsung S5 or S6, from my man cave last week and wasn't able to get a signal. I used my Moto G4 with no problem. By the way, Best Buy gave me a 10% discount for using my Best Buy card; ended up paying about $189, including sales tax, for this phone. Great deal, great phone!
