• The phone's components are coated with a nano-coating that reduces the likelyhood of them shorting out. So, it is splash-proof. NOT, water-proof. It can take some raindrops, but don't go swimming with it!

• Hi Magic, Thank you for your interest. Our Moto G5 Plus is only water-repellent. It is not easily penetrated by water but it is not waterproof. You can not submerge the phone. Regards, Jess
