I know some carriers have very strange restrictions, but I've not heard of that one. I have Xfinity also but I'm partial to tmobiles service. I used to use Verizon, it's excellent service but I just didn't like the stringent rules they have, the do's & in dont's. I take it you purchased your phone thru them? You mentioned having them unlock ur phone? Verizon can be a real pain sometimes when it comes to that but if you've spent the time allotment they require when you be 1st sign up they can't deny you & once ur unlocked you're no longer under their rules & in regulations. I do know that. Hoped this helped, but just ask if that's true & if it is then I'd ask to be unlocked...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, SuzieQ, This is true that Wifi calling through Verizon will not work with unlocked phones. Unlocked devices like this phone does not have WiFi calling as an option. This is per design due to the WiFi calling being a carrier-specific feature.Regarding XFinity wifi and unlocking the phone, I would suggest contacting Verizon to see if these are possible.
