• Yes the phone can be used on any service provider and prepaid and postpaid you just have to call prepaid Verizon cuatomer service to activate it with a verizon simcard.

• I have a prepaid plan and it switched service from my old phone over to this new phone just fine - just moved the sim card and the photos. They did it at the store for me - very easy.
