A:AnswerI believe its because its a promotional deal. If the product you listed is an 8th gen model the prices increase based on demand. Just because it has older parts or lower specs doesn't mean itwill sell for less. More often than not newer hardware can be bought for cheaper because of availability.
A:AnswerNO. The Geeksquad will not add another ssd for you. I took my laptop to them this week to add an 1TB ssd in the unused slot. They took the order. But next day they called me and said many things can go wrong if they install the SSD so they rather wont (as the mobo is upside down). I was frankly surprised but thats where we are. They charge $40 for upgrading SSD, it's literally one of the services they say they provide. So I am planning to do it my self. There are many YouTube Videos explaining how to do it. Hope that helps. Good luck!
A:AnswerDepending on your budget, I would recommend either the Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB or the Samsung 970 Pro 1TB. Keep in mind, the motherboard supports up to PCI Express 3.0. You can use a PCI Express 4.0 hard drive, however you won't be able to take advantage of the rated speed of that hard drive. Also, the motherboard on this model is inverted, so the hard drive will not be easily upgradable. You will want Geek Squad to perform this upgrade to ensure any warranty is not voided.
A:AnswerThis was on sale Black Friday 2019 for $1399 after $500 off (~25%). Timing-wise, these prices coincide with the end of model year and cleared out the inventory of my local Best Buy's. It is unlikely that you'll again see such pricing until vendors are ready to clear out remaining inventory, at which point 15-20% off is a possibility.
There are currently similar MSI Stealth on sale at Best Buy if budget is of concern. They won't have the same graphics chip or memory, but they're not slouches either.
