For people that want to hook up a TV to a DVD player, how would/could that work with this stand? I assume that we wouldn't be able to store the DVD player on the stand and that we'd need to put it somewhere off the stand, attaching to the TV via cable. null

This stand comes with a shelf. You could place the DVD player on that shelf below the tv

Eatwild, You could purchase the Plus version of the stand, the MTM65PL-S and then you would have a tray to put your DVD player on, or purchase an additional tray if you do not have one for your current stand.
