As a general rule, Wifi points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. All points are connected to each other wirelessly and receive signal from the wifi point that is within range. Check out this article for where to place your Wifi devices: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7183150?hl=en&ref_topic=7216602
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have the main router hub in 2nd story office and satellite access point on first floor (works fine). We also have a satellite in the window of a metal shop building that is at least 50 yards from the window where the router hub is located and works great. They all communicate with each other. The wifi signal can be used nearly 1/4 mile from the devices.
