“I have a 3 floor 4,200 sq.ft. house with the Arris Surfboard SBG7400AC2 modem/router in the basement with my computer located there hard wired to the Arris. Will this system work with it or do I need to add a new modem to connect to the cable? thanks”

I have a near identical situation. Plug the Nest WiFi into the Model and then go from there. You’ll be shocked and pleased. Make sure you have the 3 pack that includes 2 points.

For this size house depending on your layout and WIFI needs you might want to add a 4th Google/Nest unit for full coverage. I personally would start with the kit as it comes then see if there are any dead spots in the house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have about the same size house and it worked great. Router in the basement (basically same setup as Dan) then one AP on each floor. Works great. As long as the Arris if giving DHCP all you have to do is connect nest to it and it will pickup internet. Then use the app to setup the AP's.
