No, you need the Nest Hub. But the Airport support is soon to be history. A lottle more money but coverage is worth it!

You can only use Nest Wifi routers, points, and Google Wifi points together to create a Wi-Fi mesh network. Only the Nest Wifi routers and Google Wifi has Ethernet ports where you can connect the Ethernet cable and Nest Wifi points are intended to be connected wirelessly only. We recommend setting up Nest Wifi router as your primary router directly hardwired to your modem's WAN port with an Ethernet cable. You can still use your current router as a downstream switch to Nest Wifi router.
