Yes, according to the manual. I’ve only had mine less than a month, so my battery hasn’t run out yet, and won’t for a while, but it is supposed to let you know that the battery is low. Also, you can stash a 9-volt battery somewhere and use it in an emergency if the lock runs out of juice.
