“Can I use this switch for a home network if our internet is fiber?”

• Yes. The fiber connection on the internet side does not matter, you would connect this switch to the ethernet port on your router to "create" more ports for additional devices. The router will perform traffic control for you.

• It sucks because it's underpowered and not managed switch. If you buy a switch buy a managed switch!

• Yes. Regardless is internet is cable, fiber, satellite, DSL, if the modem has a WAN port, it can connect to this. There are a number of ways to hook up your network, but in general, yes this will work with internet over fiber.
