“I have a router furnished by AT&T Uverse on one end of my house, will this receive the signal from that, and then can I attach all of the components on my Home Theater system to this VIA hardwire, some of my components don't have Wi-Fi??”

If that router provides a signal like a regular WiFi router, then yes. For sheer fun, I have tried the extender with my smartphone's tethering and it works perfectly.

if you have a WPS button on the wireless AT&T router then it will work. I use it for my Dish Network with a CAT-5 cable because the WiFi doesn't have a great signal to it

Your situation is very similar to what I have (AT&T Uverse, non-WiFi devices attached directly) and the Netgear router is working well for me.
