“Does a wireless extender help when the camera is further than the 300'? I would like to watch the horses in the barn occasionally. But the barn is quite a distance from the house/wireless router. If an extender works, how far will the connection work? Also, is there a Feature that allows you to not watch when you choose and not text with every movement? The idea is to just check on the horses sometimes, but not a constant live feed.”

You can customize it however you want. Just don't set it up to record when there is motion. You can log in and go live when you want. I'm not sure about the wireless extender. It should work though if the connection is strong enough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I get 300 ft with my Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 router and I'm not using an extender. No need in my case, but yes, an extender will increase range, but how much of an increase will depend on the strength of your particular range extender.
