No, this will only work with the router it was designed to work with (Netgear R7300). The device uses your homes electrical wiring to transceive data. The router has to be able to inject the data into the electrical system. Imagine asking if you can buy tickets for a train that goes to a city where there are no train tracks connected. This is essentially what you are asking.
