Yes it should. Really it depends on your DVR and I imagine your internet speed. I have cable one internet (no phone) and this modem and subscribe to ps vue which I record and watch live tv. So basically my ps3 & 4 act as my DVR. I have no problems with the recordings. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry, I am not qualified to answer your question. I would think if you are using a dvr with your computer and the dvr requires an ethernet hook up the Netgear 66 would suit you.
