Yes you can. the WiFi Radio in this device is weak, so you are better-off to buy a Cable Modem without WiFi and then add an external WAP with 700-800mW WiFi radios and external antennas if you want a good broad range WiFi coverage of your house. This company's technical support is clueless and does not respond to questions.

no it turns all off at once so just leave it on whole time and thats it because it don't use much engery at all it save engery on your electric bill ok also as of today all laptop and tablets or even any smart phones use wireless so it works great and far about 30 yards i did test that myself
