I don't understand your question. You need to have an internet service provider to have internet. That provider may also be a "cable" company. You need this modem to take the signal from the ISP and convert it into your own WiFi network unless you want to rent their modem. Cable TV is a separate matter. Your ISP may also be your cable TV provider. You need to buy separate service from someone to have cable TV. You don't need this modem to get cable TV. You need to get your cable TV provider's cable TV box.
