“I currently have for 200 Mbps. I upgraded to Spectrum 400. Sales rep said this can only handle up to 300 & was sending me a Motorola that could handle up to 1 gig. Is this true? Thanks.”

• I think it's because of this: the specifications say it can handle up to 680 mbps, but it is "approved" for plans up to 300 mbps. I think that's why the rep recommended the faster Motorola. It may be that the Netgear unit will get you 400 mbps, but sounds like the cable company wants you to have a faster unit to make sure you get the 400 mpbs.

• Same person who asked question. I unplugged router modem from wall & then from unit, plus I disconnected coaxial cable. Netgear still shows only 235 Mbps. Thanks.
